amnis MCP connects the AI assistant you already use, such as Claude or ChatGPT, to your live amnis account. You can ask about balances, currencies, payments, and spend in plain language, and let the assistant prepare routine work like a board update or a payment batch. It is not a separate app or an amnis chatbot: you keep your own assistant. amnis MCP is available now for every amnis account.

amnis MCP is for anyone who runs the finances of an amnis business account – founders and managing directors who handle the money themselves, as well as CFOs and finance teams. It is available to every amnis business partner, including in Switzerland. Only admins of the amnis account can connect it.

amnis MCP works with AI tools that support custom MCP connectors, such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini, and developer tools such as Cursor. Custom connectors are often limited to paid plans of the AI tools, so check your plan with your AI provider.

Add amnis MCP as a custom connector in your AI tool. Your AI tool then opens an amnis sign-in page: log in as an admin, choose the company you want to connect, and accept access once. amnis MCP uses the same permissions, approval flows, and logging as your amnis account. An admin signs in on amnis, so the AI tool never sees the password. Payments are only drafted and need your approval in amnis with two-factor authentication, the assistant never sees a card’s PIN, full number, or CVV, every action is logged, and you can disconnect at any time.

Your assistant can prepare payments, but it cannot approve them: you approve every payment in amnis with your usual approval flow and two-factor authentication. Currency conversions are different – the assistant can request a rate and convert currency on your instruction, which moves money between your own amnis currency accounts – it never leaves them. In your AI tool, you can choose whether it asks you before each action.

You can ask about your position in every currency, recent payments and their status, FX rates and past conversions, card transactions and subscriptions, missing receipts, fees, and top suppliers – or ask for a summary such as a board treasury update. The examples on this page are a good place to start.

Yes. Each connection covers one company (business partner) in amnis. If your group has several entities, connect each one separately. The assistant cannot combine data from several companies in one connection.

When you ask a question, your assistant requests the data it needs from amnis and sends it to the AI provider you connected, such as Anthropic or OpenAI, under that provider’s terms. Whether a provider uses conversations to improve its models depends on its terms and your settings, so check both before you connect.

The amnis MCP address is not a website – it is a server address for your AI tool. Don’t click it or open it in a browser. Copy it, then paste it into your AI tool as a custom connector, for example in Claude under Customize → Add → Add custom connector, or in ChatGPT under Settings → Apps & Connectors.

Remove the amnis connector in your AI tool, or end the connection in amnis.

The amnis API is for developers who build their own integrations in code. amnis MCP makes the same kind of functions usable in plain language through an AI assistant – no code needed. You can also combine both: some clients use amnis MCP alongside their accounting tools to go from invoice to payment in one flow.
